HELP: What should I ask the contestants?

Don’t miss the chance to see your favorite network and local news personalities make fools of themselves on stage! That’s right it’s time for the 2011 Capitol Careaoke Competition.

This year it’s February 22nd and once again is all to benefit the wonderful organization ChildHelp. Check out Megyn Kelly and the FOX NEWS team’s performance last year below. This year FOX NEWS is back along with teams from CNN, MSNBC, WUSA, FOX5, ABC7 and NBC4!

Access Washington: Faces & Places of 2010

Thanks to Janet Donovan for this amazing compilation of candids that sum up a year of celebrity, politicos and media heads making buzz in Washington this past year!

NYE Baby and the Resolution

Look who’s ready to celebrate. Adora’s already making her first resolution too. As for myself the big thing is to get back to doing what I love. Writing letters. No, I’m talking real letters with pen, ink and card.. remember those?  I have to admit I’m like many of you and in recent years have resorted to email, text and social media to stay in touch. While I love that these tools help us stay more connected then ever– there’s just something special about a handwritten note. I got a TON of new stationary over the holiday and I can’t wait to put it to good use in 2011!  Happy New Year all!

From Russia… with POP!

Pop artist SASHA stuns a crowd of more than 1,000 at A-list celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz’s birthday celebration! I’ve been a big fan of the artist since a mutual friend introduced us in February.

Not only is she talented and beautiful– she has a great heart and is so down to Earth.

We are blessed

Merry Christmas to your family from ours.

Christmas Traditions…

In my family we ALWAYS open one gift on Christmas Eve. This year was no different except– Adora got to open her first gift. It was from her brother Atticus. She got a plush white quilted blanket for her stroller rides and naps. Do you have any fun traditions?

Robert cracked up after I gave him a digital coin counter cup. You see this was more for me.. since I always complain about his loose change everywhere.

iPheel this present! Robert got me APP magnets. Genius!

Got this in the mail from old WUSA pal Sara Walsh (now at ESPN). It’ll help us remember this extra special Christmas.

DC Bartender Wins Nat'l Model Search (ps- he's single!)

Take one look at his picture… and do you even ask why?

Congrats to DC’s Yonas Kutlu who won the Macveneers Model search for 2010 this fall.  He used to complain of little teeth and didn’t smile with his mouth open.  When he walked into Aesthetic Dental Spa, he didn’t even know that there was something Dr. Alex could do for him.  Two visits later, he had a smile makeover with 10 Veneers.Depending on Macveneers’ ad campaign this year, you may see him in Vogue and In Style Magazines!

PICTURES: Yonas’ teeth before smile makeover

BUT you’ve probably seen him around town already. Yonas (who’s single!) is currently a bartender at The Park at 14th and has even been on the cover of  On Tap magazine as best bartender.

Adora: "I was born COCKY!"

It’s gametime baby. All morning long I’ve been fired up about South Carolina’s fight for the SEC Championship against #1 ranked Auburn.

We scored our first touchdown!

The excitement was short lived. Everyone knows babies are innocent- we can’t hide how we truly feel.

What was so funny– despite the loss– daddy was still smiling for some reason.

Love is in the air

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. You’ve come so far. We love you.
