Why Disney on Ice is Skate Great!

I had a night of fabulous flashbacks. I remember going to Disney on Ice as a kid when I lived in Texas. Unexpectedly I had the feelings of excitement come back when I took Adora this week. It was really weird. I found myself watching the show (which was beautiful by the way) and getting lost in song. Once again I remember what it was like when I would listen to “When you wish upon a star” and the daydreaming would set in. I haven’t felt that way in a long time. So while this was a night for Adora see her favorite friends and princesses… I found it was also one that had me traveling back in time. It was real fun to see the magic working all over again. My favorite part was the It’s a Small World act and Pinocchio. The show captivated Adora and her best friend Reese. It kept their attention even under a sugar high of cotton candy! The show runs through Monday February 17th.. you can get tickets here. Watch a sneak peak of what you’ll see here.

Moshe’s Exciting Move

One of my favorite photographers has moved. It’s a good one though. Moshe Zusman moved into an amazing studio space right on Florida Avenue and 14th Street. The corner studio has sky high ceilings, two floors and a gorgeous display of some of his most magnificent work. We dropped by the Grand Opening of Moshe Zusman Photography presented by DC Magazine.

Fashion 4 Paws exhibit kicks off FotoWeekDC!

Previous Fashion 4 Paws Runway Shows return…and this time in photos! More than a dozen of the photographers from the past year’s shows featured their photos at a special exhibit in L2 Lounge of Georgetown. The event launched November FotoWeekDC

The blown-up photos were available for purchase as well as F4P Runway Show Super Model Calenders. Guests voted on their top three favorite photos – models featured in the photos received a $100 gift card from the Gilt Groupe. And it wouldn’t be F4P without some furry friends; adoptable dogs from the Washington Humane Society also joined the party.

Sex & The City 2 Screening, What DC Wore & Says

WATCH NOW: SATC2 Screening at AFI on WUSA9 TV

We came, we saw, we wore stilettos.. wedges.. platforms and even flashy flats!

Katherine Kennedy, Courtney Robinson, Amanda Polk and Nina Snow

There wasn’t an extra seat left in the historic AFI Silver Theatre for the official Warner Bros. & Moet-Chandon screening of Sex and the City 2.  Here’s what some of Washington’s top fashionistas had to say after the Champagne & Cinema night:
My favs were many of Samantha’s one liners (like “ohhh Charles of my Labia” instead of Charles of Arabia) – HAH! -Kristina Dorville, Government

I appreciated how they focused on what real women go through from being single, married, kids and menopause, lol. -Maggy Francois, Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce

I wish there was more flashbacks to their youth when they first arrived in NYC. It was a blast of a movie that sure didn’t disappoint but left me holding my breath for the trilogy.
-Katherine Kennedy, KMK PR

Movie Times: Sex and the City 2

SATC is like seeing old friends again. Everyone smiles when their favorite comes on the screen. I was sort of disappointed that they took the ladies out of NYC. I always enjoyed finding out the new hot restaurants, night clubs, stores. -Amanda Polk, Philanthropist

I had such a great time with all of the girls and loved the Moet combo. -Courtney Robinson, ABC7 Reporter

I loved the flashbacks to them first arriving in new york and samantha getting kicked out of the country for making out on the beach was classic. -Lauren Pomponio, Muscle Milk

Loved: The dynamic about mothers was especially lovely to share with my mom and I felt like it helped me better understand how it must have been to raise me as a single parent
-Carissa Maguire, Event Planner

I liked some of the outfits and how the middle east was portrayed as modern and old, extravagant and over the top in some ways and simple and 3rd world in other ways…that is soooo true:)  -Dr. Alex Naini, Aesthetic Dental Spa

Pros: Great fashion, Aidan is hot, loved Carries hair (but hated a couple of outfits where her boobs were bursting out. It looked a bit desperate). Cons: There was a TON of advertising -Jenny Goff, Teacher

I was expecting more fashion but loved when the middle eastern women de-robed w/ the spring collection of some known designers. -Christine Brooks-Cropper, GWFCC

I also like how they show that no ones life is perfect. If you are single, married, or have kids, there are always new challenges! -Keri Ann Meslar, Philanthropy/Events

Andrea Roane, Wes Vaughn , Suzanne Mansfield and Jenny Goff

Oh Snap! The Young & the Guest List

It was rumored to never happen but we’re glad it did. The party to celebrate 250 of DC’s most influential movers ‘n’ shakers under 40.

Upon entering the stunning Washington Club at Dupont (with hot date wusa9’s Lauren Vance) we took our pics against the wall with the wonderful Joseph Allen and Alfredo Flores and were soon ushered into the next room for check-in. That’s where we exchanged double kisses with list-mates Paul Wharton looking fab hair pulled back & the Corcoran’s Rachel Cothran beautiful in a romantic sheath. We also were greeted by  Washington Life publisher John Arundel who told us about the magnificent venue.. a mansion built at the turn of the century by Chicago Tribune Editor Robert Patterson.  Extraordinary I think!  The mansion provided a warm air for the young on the guest list and then some. Among great history walked wonderful fashion and conversation. Events by Andre Wells superbly kept the rich feel of an ages-old establishment while adding touches of modern flair with bright flowers and strategically placed candles. The Asian fusion spread added a cultural taste and the swagalicious gift bags by Moki Media filled with everything from a Badgley Mischka parfum bottle to earrings by Karen Millen and Queen Bee were exciting to open.

All in all I’d have to say making the list is pretty neat— but after this night I think most would agree making the party is even better 😉
