Friends, family and Washington media stepped out for Mamie’s Mile and helped raise $10,000 for charity! The 1 mile charity walk is hosted by former CNN reporter and loving mother Elizabeth Manresa and husband Teddy Eynon. Sassy pet expert Wendy Diamond from Animal Fair magazine once again hosted her annual White House Pet Correspondents benefit. Held at Art & Soul on Capitol Hill the evening was dedicated to Pets 2 Vets or P2V– and organization that connects returning veterans with pets to help with daily task and morale. Our gals Sophie & Katherine from TLC show DC Cupcakes were there as well as John McLaughlin. We also so Bo Obama— well kind of!
All tolls made on the Dulles Greenway go to charity today May 20th. Last year, 64,000 cars paid into the fundraiser. The Dulles Greenway hopes to collect $235,000, which would bring the total proceeds to $1 million during the past five years.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit five Loudoun charities: Every Citizen Has Opportunities, Fresh Air/Full Care, March of Dimes, Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and the Dulles Greenway

None of us expected the turnout we got. More than 500 people courteously crowded into the Ritz-Carlton Georgetownfor the 2nd Annual Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer. We squeezed Ambassador Nancy Brinker and DC First Lady Michelle Fenty into Degrees for their shared remarks. We were blessed to have them along with the so many men, women and media in pink who pitched in for this year’s Race for the Cure.
