I love seeing women start their own businesses. I have the utmost admiration for moms, especially new ones who venture into this world. Meet my neighbor and girlfriend Nikki Hill. She just had a baby like an hour ago and also around the same time decided to start Noms by Nikki. What’s a nom you ask? According to Nik it’s an onomatopoeic adjective based on the sound emitted when something is “oh so tasty.” I can attest her noms live up to it’s definition.

See exhibit A & B below- the chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream icing she made me. It was gone in 1.5 days.
You can see from her creations she can do just about anything: cake pops, chocolates, cakes, brownies, cookies, you name it.

One *BIG* Birthday
You don’t get invites like this that often. It was perfect weather for a pachyderm birthday party. The Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus is in town and it was Sara was turning another year older. As part of the big surprise the Georgetown Cupcake gals Sophie & Katherine showed up with a special pachyderm safe cupcake for Sara and all her fellow elephant friends. Even with the cake in their face the elephants opted for the carrots and lettuce. What I would give for an appetite like that! Adora got a kick out of it despite the look on her face. I’ll have more on the party including a bunch of kiddos who got to decorate their own cupcake to eat as part of the circus celebration. The circus is at The Patriot Center through April 24th.
