We carved our first pumpkin for the season and it was simple! Adora is 5 so poking the pattern in the pumpkin was a perfect task for her. Digging out the guts took a little nudging but she did it. Bob even got an arm in that too but honestly spent most of his time trying to pick up the other pumpkins all around us. For those who don’t wanna cut in and get messy I found some fun ways to decorate smaller pumpkins like mummies, witches and owls for $5. (see below)
One of Michelle Obama’s favorite designers has a line headed to Target. Jason Wu who got rave reviews at New York Fashion Week recently is the next couture creator to team up with the retail chain. I will say I did take part in the Missoni craze… scoring a make-up bag and a baby onesie for you know who. Do you think Wu will woooo consumers the same way? What designer would you like to see be available for less?
The temperature is up, but not Bethesda Row’s prices. Bethesda Row hosted its Summer Sidewalk Sale with designer denim for as low as $25! Watch more on WUSA9’s morning show:
I tweeted a while back that COSTCO was carrying wedding gowns- designer ones in fact. Couture dresses by Kirstie Kelly start at 40% off retail. Gowns going for less than $1,000.
Vote for the dress I will wear to the Newsbabes Bash May 17th. Leave a comment below with your vote- Outfit 1 or Outfit 2. All dresses and jewelry are from Rent the Runway.
Scooped thisBadgely Mischka wool hat for $19.99 atTJ Maxx off Route 7! Got some awesome green leather gloves too! Do you like to bundle in the burrrr too?!?
I recently tweeted that I found the fabulous ‘Rent-the-Runway’. It seems like the perfect solution for someone who is constantly going to events. This cool website lets you borrow designer dresses at a fraction of what it would cost to own them. From Milly to Lilly to Oscar de la Renta and Valentino it seems their’s something for everyone’s level of fine taste. My twitter friend @crisclappsent me these pics of a recent rental she wore to a wedding. Cris says ” I can’t tell you how many compliments I got all night, I was definitely pleased with the RTR experience”.
Cris ordered one size since she knew how the designer fit on her but RTR gives you teh option to order a backup size for free. She rented it for $50… new it would’ve cost $350.
She is a ray of sunshine.. and said she didn’t want to return it!
Another favorite site of mine is GoTryItOn.com .. basically it’s a forum for you to get feedback on outfits your considering for work, play or a special event! I love it… and recently found out it landed me on Good Morning America and The Today Show.
