Soon a new tool will help parents screen their child’s mental health.
Mental Health America says 350,000 screens have been taken already for depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder and PTSD. That’s about 1,000 screenings a day. Those screens will soon be tailored for 11 to 17 year olds.
The data also showed that 75-percent of the screeners are women.
Mental Health America is holding it’s 2015 Conference June 3rd through 5th in Alexandria. The group is honoring NBC4 for our work with the Changing Minds Campaign.
On Friday I would love for you to join me for a conversation with the amazing and inspirational Glennon Doyle. She is the mastermind behind the very popular Momastery.com and NYT bestselling memoir Carry On, Warrior. As the President of Rising Together she has revolutionized on-line giving through “Love Flash Mobs” and has connected countless families in need with hundreds of thousands of dollars in critical resources. Her recent Love Flash Mob raised a quarter of a million dollars in just24 hours!
