Spring Photos 2015

Well it’s no secret Winter has done it’s best to keep a firm grip on the season. The good news is.. Spring is here. It is one of our family’s favorite seasons. There is so much good that happens this time of year and we are reminded that new beginnings are always possible. #rejoice

No Tears!

Bob’s first official Easter Bunny photo and no tears from him or big sister.
In fact.. I think she thinks people were there to take pictures with her.

The Golden Egg

One of our family’s favorite holidays is Easter.  We got the kids together for some old fashion Easter photos. We’ll see how they do when they meet Mr. Easter Bunny!  Adora is 3… and no longer scared of Santa so this gives me hope.

Egg hunt and marshamallow harvest

Great Country Farms did it again! Another beautiful weekend for an old fashion egg hunt and peeps marshmallow harvest! Adora had a great time looking for eggs. Bob got to meet the Easter Bunny for the first time. We roasted marshmallows and hitched a ride on the cow train. This is such a fun family tradition! The farm is now open daily 10am-5pm in April. If you missed the egg hunt.. the Strawberry Jubilee in May is always really fun and worth the drive.

More Bunny Business: The Mall

It was the most bizarre thing. As we waited in line for Adora to get her picture with the mall bunny she was loving it. Waving at the bunny, saying he was soft, even threatening the kids behind her telling them it was “My BUNNY!”.

Then it was our turn. We got on the swath of fake grass and boom. She hit the floor. Adora collapsed and out came the tears. Apparently she WAS scared.
Thank goodness for a basket of lollipops. With them we were able to lure her to the bunny. She soon saw he was cool and a couple high 5’s broke the ice. Based off her face I think she was still very unsure about what she had agreed to. From behind the camera we tried it all.. shaking chickens, bells, lollipops violently trying to get her to smile. In the end we got one of her picking her nose and this. For her grandmother’s sake I chose the latter.

Easter 2013: Bunny Patch Photos

I think this is going to become a family tradition! Lucia Alami of Heartsight Photography does these fun real live bunny and chick photos every year. She got the idea after her kiddos were too scared to visit the Easter Bunny. I mean really.. would you trust this guy??

Adora was great.. but was a little timid when it came to holding the animals. She was fine as long as they were sitting by her. It was so cute to watch her interact and try to feed them twigs!

Easter: This is how we roll

We packed the day with fun, games and family. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter too. We started at church but Adora spent most of the time in the foyer sharing refreshments.

She was all ears when it came time to hunt some eggs.

after all the excitement clearly someone needs a nap!
