Gift of Life gives free mammograms to those in need

What a beautiful gathering for the 5th annual Gift of Life Breakfast. Held at the Grand Hyatt on H Street… the crowd was full of love and leaders from the medical, business and philanthropic communities. More than 500 came out ┬áin support of what the Capital Breast Care Center stands for. The CBCC is the only charity that is solely dedicated to giving poor women and the uninsured free mammograms and services to fight breast cancer. Special thanks to my friends who came out Stef Woods (a survivor!), Alex Naini, Andrea Roane and Krystal Person. CBCC does 2,000 free breast screenings a year… a $50 donation could and has saved a life. Today more than $120,000 was raised. Thank you everybody.. and see you for breakfast in 2012.
