Georgetown Cupcake’s sisters Sophie Lamontagne and Katherine Kallinis were looking more perfect than a dozen Red Velvets on Valentine’s Day

WATCH: Sophie & Katherine dish with Angie on what to expect

TLC threw a small affair at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown to celebrate and screen the latest reality show to come out of the Washington: DC Cupcakes.  Based of the small cupcake business that has made monumental booms in just two years the series is part of the network’s summer lineup. In addition to indulging in the sweet treats which were everywhere you turned… we got a sneak peak at the show’s first episode set to air this Friday at 10PM.  Look for some sisterly tension in the series opener along with some cute ‘mommy’ humor and one particular character Andres who steals the show and has some pretty awesome hair.

Oh Snap! Wedding in West Point

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Susan and Matt Longley in Bellevue, Virginia May 8, 2010

I had the pleasure of visiting West Point Virginia for the first time. It’s the home of 3 rivers, 2 bridges, 1 special place. It’s perhaps most special to my dear friend Susan Rabil who wed her soul mate Matthew Longley there.  It’s a quaint little town that thrives off a paper milled. On May 8th it played home to quite a party.  The reception was held at the gorgeous Bellevue estate in Bellevue Virginia. We sipped lemonade in mason jars and found our seat assignment planted in real grass.

SUPERSTITION: On the right is a pictuer of Susan digging for a bottle of Jack. They buried it months ago as a good luck charm so that it wouldn’t rain. Legend has it it is if it does you drink it… if it doesn’t you pass it on to the next person in the family who’s getting married. We got wind… no rain and despite a couple guests attempts to crack the bottle.. it stayed sealed tight.

Other highlights included Georgetown Cupcakes in leu of cake. I also loved getting together with all the AOIIS… three… Kristina, Kinsey and Alicia were in Susan’s wedding.  One of the biggest emotional moments… when Susan danced with her grandfather, Fred.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the tent.
