Full circle

It’s not quite statement jewelry but it’s not benign either.

I’m really digging this gold oversized circle pendant with a mini circle and gems within. Held together by wrapped wire it has an artisan edge. But it’s not too artsy-fartsy… still has some city trend.I like that the thin gold chain keeps it somewhat simple and easy to wear with casual tops.

Photos: The Nursery

Many people have asked  about Adora’s room. Thanks to Katharine Hauschka we’ve got a couple shots. Originally I wanted an ‘all white’ theme but soon found that brown and neutral accents worked nicely. You wouldn’t think but it was really tough trying to find ‘all white’ stuff that went together. I like how it turned out even with the controversial Mona Lisa. 🙂

Tree Time: Decorations picked!

I’m obsessed with Christmas. My favorite music is Christmas music (I’m listening to Josh Groban’s NOEL CD right now!).  With my new condo, new baby on the way and new outlook on life I’m so excited to decorate our family’s real ‘first tree’. I’m going to get a real fir– pickin’ it out this week. Meanwhile, I’ve already started working on my vision. Lotsa silver and gold.. vintage ornaments… old glass… and old paper. What’s your theme this year?

BUMP or DUMP: Blue Velvet

Today my intern Rachel had to zip me up as I tried to squeeeeeze into one of my regular dresses.. maybe for the last time before ‘she’ is here! I threw a blue unbuttonable velvet blazer over it and added the long gold clover chain and breast cancer charm necklace for a little light metal.

Rocks around the collar

Maryland jewelry designer Yasmine Afshar is so talented. I am obsessed with my new necklace made of semi-precious stones.. and gold metal.  Afshar’s forte is her use of earthy but edgy tones… and as we enter October I couldn’t think of a better Fall piece to wear to welcome the new month. BUMP or DUMP: Plump 'n' Purple

This Liz Lange for Target top held through the 6 hours of storm coverage we did LIVE this morning. I gave it a spark of glimmer with the new Adrienne Mixed Chain Gold necklace. CHIN loves this necklace too so I have a feeling I won’t have it for long.

Dad can construct the crib, but keep him away from the bows

My father is so sweet… but could use some help in the bow tying department.

My dear mother Chin was to Ren’s rescue in no time. A big thank you to my father and husband for putting the crib together. I take credit for sheeting the mattress 🙂

Bump or Dump: Smurfette Friday

Blue stretch cotton with gold Stella & Dot clover necklace! I’m traveling today after the show… so comfort is key.

Twinkle toes

I walked into Banana Republic and they handed me a coupon. I opened it and it was for 50% of my purchase. HELLO! So I gravitated to the shoe department in search of some flats and EUREEKA! I struck gold with these babies.
