Bonding over Parenting Fails

It was a night full of jokes, real stories and even a boob bump. Yep, Alicia Ybarbo and Mary Ann Zoellner delivered more than just laughs at the book signing for their latest baby “Sh*tty Mom For All Seasons“. Anj Varma at Kidville led a discussion about parenting fails and how to pitch your story to the media. It was awesome to see so many moms with kids young and old come out! People asked questioned and even shared their parenting confessions. One mom confessed she drove over her daughter’s bike on the way out to get to the event! The reaction from the room was in line with the theme of the book: We got you sister. You are not alone!

Cool mommas hop the Rockin’ Railroad

Choo Choo! The train of fun was a chuggin’ at Kidville’s Rockin’ Railroad Family Day held in Bethesda. It was so wonderful to see other moms, dads and their kiddos of all ages come out. We got to run around in the playroom, enjoy cupcakes and watch and dance through a session of Kidville’s new Rockin’ Railroad class. I was clearly the head of the class… up front and center the whole time. Some photos by Danielle Sara Photography

Little Maestro

For the first time in 10 months I took my baby to a class. It’s a place called Kidville in Bethesda. It’s really a neat set up. They run their programs on a semester basis.. so your kiddo enrolls just like they would for school. We checked out the Little Maestros music class and it was a lot of fun. The Little Maestros band sings and plays instruments all while engaging the babies. A lot of their classes are mixed ages.. this one was NB to age 5.  Adora took a liking to not only the puppet show and bubble blowing that went on… but also the instruments of others. Today I had to give her an early lesson in “sharing.” Would love for you to share cool baby classes around town that you know of!
