Carving Pumpkins

It’s hard to think about getting into the Halloween spirit as many of us continue to clean up from Sandy. Before the storm hit.. we had the chance to partake in what’s becoming a family tradition– pumpkin carving. We were excited to once again host a special family event at Wildfire in Tysons Galleria. Part of the proceeds went to wonderful local charity Food for Others. Hope everyone has a happy Halloween!

Fashion’s Night Out Georgetown Coming!

With fashionistas Catherine, Kristin and Tania

Save the date! Fashion’s Night Out will transform Georgetown into a Fashion Playground on Thursday, September 6, 2012, 6-11pm! This is one of my favorite events of the year. It’s a great time to get together with friends but also pump some more money into local businesses with style. Hopefully this year the weather will cooperate– remember the deluge we survived in 2011!

Fashion’s Night Out

Pounding Rain, 2 and half hours sitting in traffic.. nothing could keep me away from Fashion’s Night Out. I joined good girlfriends to toast FNO Georgetown at the VIP reception held at L2. From their we made our rounds to Dean & Deluca, Nectar Skin Bar, Intermix  and more. We enjoyed Citronelle’s fashion show and great wining and dining at Peacock Cafe’ after hours.  Check out more pictures from DC’s most fashionable night!

Oh and of course you know who had to partake in FNO! Check out her new boots.

Oliver Stone picks DC to debut new doc, afterparty

Known for his controversial films, Academy Award Winner Oliver Stone chose DC to debut his new documentary.

Stone premiered  ‘South of the Border’ a film that explores the social revolution in South America. The doc features many interviews between Stone and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

Following the screening, Stone attended an afterparty at Teatro Goldoni.

The party was hosted by Washington Life. We snapped the famous filmmaker with screenwriter Mark Weitrot.

Spotted in crowd were newly weds Kristin and John Cecchi with Bisnow’s  Courtney Caldwell

Watch my report on Stone’s short DC stay below from WUSA9 TV (pardon the wrong camera cue 🙂
