WUSA9's Kristin Fisher Marries

Congrats are in order for WUSA9’s Kristin Fisher. Our former morning show reporter (she’s moved to the day shift …sniff ) married her true love Walker over the weekend. The gorgeous ceremony was held at The Church of the Holy City in DC… and a rockin’ reception with an extraordinary view followed at the Hay-Adams Hotel. Highlights included a jaw-dropping beautiful bridal gown, a sweetly executed toast by the bride’s sister Kara and out-of-this world party favors: moon pies and freeze-dried ice cream. Hey what do you expect from a bride who is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. It was great to catch up with some 9NEWS colleagues too.. Jessica Doyle, Andrea Roane and Larry Lewis. I think it’s fair to say from all of us.. best and bright wishes to the newlyweds!

Morning Glory Private Screening

Thanks to all who came out for the private screening of news comedy  Morning Glory starring Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams.  Big shout outs to members of the 9NEWS morning team who stayed out on a school night: Andrea, Mike, Kristine and Producer Dan and Heather!

We had a great night and enjoyed seeing our colleague Mike Hydeck in the opening scenes playing a local anchorman. His performance (along side Colin Powell’s daughter) was bravo bravo! Special thanks to Paramount Pictures and Allied Marketing for helping organize the feature presentation affair. Morning Glory is now in theaters.

Mio restaurant owner Karla Espinoza pictured on right with Evelyn Brooks of Evelyn Brooks Designs wowed the crowd with her ceviche and seafood causa. Indulging in Peruvian food and music were DC social butterflies Pamela Sorensen, Heather Guay, Cheryl Romero and Allison Brooks. There was a lot of music and home decor also on display!

Steamy OR Scary.. New Tiger Pix?

WUSA’s Kristin Fisher reported this during her what’s hot on the web report Tues morning.  These so called hot shots of the pro golfer were taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz  for this month’s Vanity Fair. They were taken before his admitted “transgressions”.  I honestly think he looks scary.
