DJ Flounder from DC101 kept the pink party going at the 3rd Annual Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer. Held at the Fairmont on M Street, the reception was hosted by more than a dozen DC newswomen.

WTOP’s Bob Madigan was an honorary host this year- helping us spread the word that men- you too can get breast cancer.The bash helps kick-off DC’s Komen Race for the Cure June 4th.
Guest speakers included Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and DC First Lady Jonice Gray Tucker. Breast cancer survivors DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and FOX News Channel’s Jennifer Griffin wowed the crowd with their inspiring stories. Pictures by Neshan Naltchayan and Manny Fantis.

Hanami: The Flower Viewing

Join local DC artist Don Patron and Ladies DC for Hanami: The Flower Viewing, a benefit to aid the Japanese Red Cross Society. Join the evening that will pay a tribute to beautiful artwork while also supporting the relief efforts of the Japan Tsunami. The event will be held this Thursday, April 14th at L2 Lounge in Georgetown.

Ladies DC – Washington’s premiere networking group –  put on an event special for today’s working women. Held at L2 Lounge in Georgetown, Pampering & Professional Networking was a night for DC’s most celebrated women to mingle, exchange business cards, build friendships… and of course, to be pampered.  Popular services of the night included manicures, massages and energy health evaluations provided by The Still Point Salon. Other sponsors included  The Psychic Shop,  O Salon, Scent Air and David Palmer Salon.
