Ameriprise Financial's Thomas Block presents the check

I really enjoyed my volunteering experience at Miriam’s Kitchen so you can imagine my excitement when I saw they were getting a big donation this week.

Ameriprise Financial presented the non profit that provides healthy meals for more than 4,000 homeless people with a $7,000 check.

Miriam’s Kitchen’s Executive Director, Scott Schenkelberg says “Nearly 100 percent of Miriam’s Kitchen’s funding comes through private donations. We are particularly grateful for Ameriprise Financial’s generous support of our work serving homeless men and women in the District of Columbia.”

Founded in 1983, Miriam’s Kitchen provides free, healthy meals and high-quality support services to thousands of homeless men and women each year through four core programs: Meals, Case Management, Miriam’s Studio, and Miriam’s Cafe.
