Art Soiree hosted a private event for ‘Thoughts of a Butterfly’ book release at Puro Lounge in Georgetown. The crowd, like the awe-inspiring book, was in good spirits enjoying drinks and live jazz music outdoors.

Let go, laugh, live, love is Shirley Ramos personal credo and motif in her new book ‘Thoughts of a Butterfly’. After suffering a stroke at the young age of 29, Shirley grabs her second chance at life with passion, even writing a book of poems about her journey. Yoni Lee contributed to this OMG report.

Fun tribute to military

Kings Dominion paid tribute to American soldiers,  in a blood-rushing, adrenaline pumping, explosive way. Military service members spent the day at the amusement park for FREE, riding the infamous coasters and enjoying the fireworks with their family.

This was Kings Dominion’s 2nd annual military tribute, honoring those who serve. There was a special fireworks show and evena moment of silence in the park to remember those lives lost at war.

What a morning! After we wrapped the show we decided to drop in on our favorite radio buds in town. First stop was at 105.9 The Edge where we squeezed into a sweltering studio for the hilarious Kirk & Mike Show. From calling out Howard Bernstien’s “pancake face” to teasing a mud wrestling match between Andrea and me when they return… the boys had us rolling. Union Station goes RED

The recent tornado in Missouri left Joplin devastated, but its residents and Washingtonians are banding together for Red4Joplin.

On June 13th at 6PM, DC locals and Joplin natives Kiki L’Italien and Kylee Coffman are partnering with Events for Good in hosting ‘Show Me’ Support for Joplin: A Red Tie Affair.

The night starts with a chef ‘show-down’ of Joplin’s favorite spaghetti and later includes music, raffle prizes and tornado surviver testimonials.

Dream for Kids team up with Volleyball Pros

Bump, set, inspire!

The National Volleyball League partnered with Dream for Kids to host an adaptive clinic for children with physical and developmental disabilities.

Over 50 youngsters attended ‘The Extreme Recess’ and got a chance to play volleyball for the first time. Each child was paired with an athlete to train and learn skills and scrimmages.

4th Annual Bubbles and Bluegrass Concert

Give Back Alexandria hosted the 4th Annual Bubbles and Bluegrass concert at the Lord Fairfax House in Old Town Alexandria.

Guests enjoyed Southern hospitality, comfort food, and live music from ‘Over Under Down Yonder’ at the ‘black tie, blue jean and anything in between’ affair.
