Interview with Corbin Bernsen

Major League, LA Law and most currently Psych on the USA Network.. you probably know Corbin Bernsen. It was great to have the actor pop by our studios while he was in Virginia promoting his new movie 25 Hill. It’s a movie he wrote and directed too.

Focused on saving the soap box derby… Corbin says it’s a film that really captures the heart of the American spirit. He told me that “Major League” was the most fun he has ever made making a movie… but that”25 Hill” has by far been his most rewarding.

I’m having Splashbacks

America’s favorite mermaid gets arrested at the White House. Daryl Hannah was protesting an oil pipeline expansion. As I watched her be cuffed and whisked away a couple random thoughts came to mind.

  • My childhood visit Aquarena Springs in San Marcos TX- where you could see pigs dive and an underwater mermaid show
  • “Madison” use to be an uncommon name
  • This time she wasn’t arrested for indecent exposure but can’t help but think she looks awesome at 50

Robert Redford premieres 'The Conspirator' in DC

Robert Redford is still a hunk! It was great to see him premiere his new film he directed ‘The Conspirator’ here at the historic Ford’s Theatre.  The film that centers around the men and one woman arrested for the conspiracy surrounding President Lincoln’s murder stars Robin Wright Penn as Mary Surratt. Morning Glory Private Screening

Thanks to all who came out for the private screening of news comedy  Morning Glory starring Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams.  Big shout outs to members of the 9NEWS morning team who stayed out on a school night: Andrea, Mike, Kristine and Producer Dan and Heather!

We had a great night and enjoyed seeing our colleague Mike Hydeck in the opening scenes playing a local anchorman. His performance (along side Colin Powell’s daughter) was bravo bravo! Special thanks to Paramount Pictures and Allied Marketing for helping organize the feature presentation affair. Morning Glory is now in theaters.

Oliver Stone picks DC to debut new doc, afterparty

Known for his controversial films, Academy Award Winner Oliver Stone chose DC to debut his new documentary.

Stone premiered  ‘South of the Border’ a film that explores the social revolution in South America. The doc features many interviews between Stone and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

Following the screening, Stone attended an afterparty at Teatro Goldoni.

The party was hosted by Washington Life. We snapped the famous filmmaker with screenwriter Mark Weitrot. 

Spotted in crowd were newly weds Kristin and John Cecchi with Bisnow’s  Courtney Caldwell
