House Beautiful magazine’s new Spring Color issue is crazy about green! Washingtonians celebrated the latest issue dedicated to the lucky hue at trendy Room & Board on 14th Street, NW. From Kiwi to Kelly… if it’s green the latest issue has got it covered. House Beautiful created a lot of buzz after dropping 19 green chairs in random places in the city… you had to follow their twitter feed for clues to find them. This quickly became a trending topic in the area! Seen enjoying the green scene: Washingtonian’s new fashion editor Kate Bennett, Interior Designer Megan Blake, ABC7’s Natasha Barrett and the Corcoran’s Rachel Cothran. Photos by Yulia Mikhalchuk
Oh my gills. We took a break from the daily grind of the night shift at NBC4 to take a swim in the fish bowl at U street hotspot Lost Society. Mediabistro hosted a FishbowlDC Party which drew a mix of news anchors, political reporters and popular bloggers. I finally got the chance to meet the bowl’s big wig Betsy Rothstein who is so so tiny. Standing next to her I felt pregnant again. Guests enjoyed fun finger foods like chicken and waffles on a stick … washing it down with Belvedere cocktails. Notables spotted included Fox News Contributor Tucker Carlson, White House Correspondent Major Garrett, Bloomberg’s Margaret Carlso and Washington Post’s Erik Wemple. There were a lot more too… you can see the list and more pictures here. Take Note: Don’t show up to a FishbowlDC Party without your ID… a popular PR maven and blogger gets bounced out of the bowl… read the funny recollection
