Pink Painted bikini and big hearts Race for the Cure

The sun was shining and the pink was popping at the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in DC. There were so many inspirational stories. While hosting the pre-show I met awesome people like a guy who painted a pink bikini on him in name of his grandmother who has breast cancer. Andrea Roane shined as the Mistress of Ceremonies and the WUSA9 booth in Komen Village created a mob fest! So much fun! Thank you to all who came out!

WTG to two women we LOVE!

Congrats to my friend Pamela Sorensen for 4 fabulous years of keeping Washington in the know! She recently celebrated the blogiversary  of Pamela’s Punch with style at the Sofitel Lafayette Square. The Parisian Party got poppin’ with a champagne toast from Perriet Jouet! And lucky Lindley Thornburg walked away the big winner of the night… scoring a free tip to Paris! Oui Oui!  See more pictures from the party here…

Also this week… a very important milestone for Maimah Karmo. She celebrates 4 years TOO … but 4 years of being cancer-free! The founder of the Tigerlily Foundation has gone on to help young women across DC cope with the emotional and financial challenges involved in fighting breast cancer. She is a rock and an inspiration. We congratulate her on her 4 year Cancerversary! Check out Maimah’s primp and pamper brunch at Panache in Tysons Corner here

DC Cupcakes Premiere Party & Screening

Georgetown Cupcake’s sisters Sophie Lamontagne and Katherine Kallinis were looking more perfect than a dozen Red Velvets on Valentine’s Day

TLC threw a small affair at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown to celebrate and screen the latest reality show to come out of the Washington: DC Cupcakes.  Based of the small cupcake business that has made monumental booms in just two years the series is part of the network’s summer lineup. In addition to indulging in the sweet treats which were everywhere you turned… we got a sneak peak at the show’s first episode set to air this Friday at 10PM.  Look for some sisterly tension in the series opener along with some cute ‘mommy’ humor and one particular character Andres who steals the show and has some pretty awesome hair.
