Time flies

It’s been 6 weeks since my son was born and he’s already filling out 3 mos old clothing!

First few days

It’s been a rather eventful first few days with our new son. As expected the chunker lost a little weight.  His sister is still getting use to him.  Although I’m not a new mom I am still so amazed at how little he is. The ears, the hands.. .that hair! For those asking if Adora’s Day is getting a new page for her little bro… no. He actually has his own site Bobthe4th.com

The Blues Help Beat Blood Cancer

Wow. That’s the best way to put it. My first experience at the Leukemia Ball is one I surely won’t forget. This is such a gorgeous event from the fabulous crowd, the detailed decor.. the moment you walk in the feeling is grand.

This year I was honored to quad-emcee with three of my girlfriends from the other three stations. It was quite the production.. we even had a full rehearsal earlier in the day. It paid off because the event was a complete success. The Leukemia  & Lymphoma Society’s National Capital Chapter surpassed it’s goal of $90,000 raising $2.7 Million dollars for blood cancer research. How awesome is that!

Tammy Darvish was honored with a big award for all that she has done in this fight. She was so dynamic on stage and really inspired the crowd.

Dana Carvey was hilarious… imitating all the recent Presidents and weaving political humor into his performance. He helped us give away 2 Mercedes and then  Jim Belushi and his band hit the stage and kept the party rockin’ in to the night! Thank you to all who came out to support LLS and those fighting this battle everday!

Operation Shower: Honoring 40 military moms-to-be

What an event! More than 40 military moms-to-be gathered for an amazing time at “Showered with Love”sponsored by Operation Shower. They got boxes of gifts from Babies ‘r’ Us that had diapers, clothes, toys and more inside. We gave away big prizes like strollers.. and car seats too. The big surprise.. everyone got a CRIB and $100 gift certificate! The food and dessert table were perfection and there was nothing more rewarding than seeing these ladies smile. Many of them have husbands who are overseas. Growing up an ARMY brat I saw my mom’s struggle first hand as she tried to keep 3 crazy girls in check. Thanks to our service members and to all their families for all that they give! Big thanks to Operation Shower for showing the love and support year after year! Extra sweet congrats

I am so thankful for all the congrats and well wishes I’ve received from people as we prepare for baby number two! I was especially surprised to get this little message all the way from the left coast. As a die hard Saved by the Bell fan.. it is extra extra special. Thanks Mario!

We’re having a…

It was with amazing discipline that I decided not to find  out if I was having a boy or girl at my 20 week sonogram. Instead I had the technician put the answer in an envelope.

I brought it home and handed it to my sister Jenny who ecstatically ripped it open in front of me. She was the first to know.

We waited days until our close family could all be together. Jenny in the meantime set up a very cute “Reveal!”  A 20 week secret all wrapped up.

On the big day, Jenny enlisted the help of future big sister, Adora Kate.

And BAMBINO!

And just like that.. the name lives on. We’re ready to welcome a IV to the fam! Can you be tickled blue? We’re so happy!

In true Goff fashion.. Jenny topped “the reveal” with some humor. We arrived to a celebratory lunch to find all this!

Thanks sister.. love you.
