Pink Painted bikini and big hearts Race for the Cure

The sun was shining and the pink was popping at the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in DC. There were so many inspirational stories. While hosting the pre-show I met awesome people like a guy who painted a pink bikini on him in name of his grandmother who has breast cancer. Andrea Roane shined as the Mistress of Ceremonies and the WUSA9 booth in Komen Village created a mob fest! So much fun! Thank you to all who came out!

Second Wind: Saturday in the Park

One of my favorite local bands… Second Wind is very excited to kick off this year’s spring/summer concert series at beautiful Potomac Overlook Park in Arlington. This is a popular weekly regional concert event! It’s also a perfect venue for friends and families to bring a picnic and enjoy the idyllic woodsy grassy hill amphitheater setting for a Saturday night full of great rock and roll! Donations are welcome. See you there to kick off the warm weather nights! Shout out to WUSA Marketing Director Steve Houk who funnels his creative energy through the band as the lead singer!
