Freezing in April.. can you tell!

Spring it on! With Sugar

The snow is melting and there’s no turning back now. What better way to say “Spring come on!” than with spring cookies. With my little helper Adora we hosted a cookie decorating workshop at Wildfire at Tysons Galleria. Highlights of the event is seeing so many friends and meeting new people.. and also benefiting Food for Others. FFO helps provide food for those who can’t afford it living in Fairfax County. I love being able to teach my daughter about giving back while she is young and so impressionable. She really had fun and felt she was doing something good. Thanks to everyone who came out!

Spring into Fashion with Tara

DC Stylist and owner of Tara Styles DC Tara Luizzi dropped by J.Crew in Georgetown to talk about the latest Spring trends and tips on how to wear them. Women from the Young Professional’s Forum appreciated Tara’s expert advice on dressing for body types and even which staple pieces are worth the investment. This season makes a statement with vibrant neons, romantic florals and bold stripes. I like! At the forum, Tara’s shared tips like:
*Wearing a beautiful floral blouse under a suit

High-heels, hoops & a man cave?

Fab finds + babes with brains what more can you ask for this weekend. My reporter buddy Courtney Robinson is one of many ladies involved with Tossed & Found. It’s the ultimate rummage sale of the season sponsored by the Junior League. It’s your chance to get big bargains on quality pre-owned housewares, clothes, books, electronics furniture and more!   Everything for sale has been donated by members like Court or their friends and community supporters. The sale benefits the community programs JLW supports.

Did someone say PARTY? That’s right.. this Friday night (hate I’ll be out of town) grab your beau, hubby or perhaps person of interest to the sale site! JLW ladies are SO smart they’ve created a ‘Man Cave’ equipped with an open bar and big screen TVs for March Madness.  For you there’s shopping and a ton of really fantastic auction items!  Should be a great time and something different.  While they’re eyes are on balls… yours can be on bargains.
