Day Prom: A Dance To Remember

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I’ve had the pleasure of attending Fairfax County Public School’s Day Prom in 2008 and so glad to see that the tradition has continued into it’s 10th year. Special education students from 7 area high schools attended the dance looking so snazzy in their tuxes and gorgeous in their gowns. Hats off to Herndon High School teacher Kathy Khair for pulling off yet another party so good no one will forget it! Watch my coverage of Day Prom on WUSA TV’s morning show below:

See the full story as aired on the WUSA9 Morning Show

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)– Oh My GOFF! Angie Goff on Isabel Toldeo of First Lady fashion fame, named Designer of the Year.

The designer made famous by Michelle Obama was honored by Marymount University at the college’s Portfolio in Motion ’All Doll’d Up’ show. Virtually unknown before fashion risk-taker Obama chose her to design an Inauguration Day ensemble, Isabel Toledo was named ‘Designer of the Year.’ She praised the young designers presenting their collections that night for their use of textured fabrics and creativity. She also urged them to stay inspired and true to their art, “and success will find you.”  Past recipients of the award include Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta. Photo above by Moshe Zusman.
