Pink Painted bikini and big hearts Race for the Cure

The sun was shining and the pink was popping at the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in DC. There were so many inspirational stories. While hosting the pre-show I met awesome people like a guy who painted a pink bikini on him in name of his grandmother who has breast cancer. Andrea Roane shined as the Mistress of Ceremonies and the WUSA9 booth in Komen Village created a mob fest! So much fun! Thank you to all who came out!

Crunch time for Fashion for Paws Models

Start your countdown! We are just 3 weeks away from DC’s elite fashion event of the year: The Washington Humane Society’s annual Fashion for Paws show.

Fundraising models like April Jones Firoozabadi have to raise $3,000 to walk their dog down the catwalk during the event. April held a charity event at Salon Daniel in McLean and raised more than 2-thousand dollars, the most money made ever in the show’s history by a single model at one event! Last year the show raised nearly $350,000 for animals in need.

Fashion for Paws will be at the National Building Museum on April 9th and expected to attend are DC’s A-List media personalities, athletes, politicians and business leaders.

General Admission is sold out but you can still get VIP tickets at fashionforpaws.org

Fashion For Paws Models Announced!

Last night at Teatro Goldoni, we had an amazing kick-off for the 2010 Fashion for Paws fashion show benefitting the Washington Humane Society. More pictures to come but first I wanted to share the list of those aiming to walk the runway this year! Models must raise at least $3,000 to take to the catwalk! This year I’m a guardian model.. meaning I’ll walk but my main focus will be getting the word out and helping other models achieve their goals!

Some of you have asked if you can donate on my page. Since I don’t have a page the first model I would love for you to support is first time walker, animal lover and dentist to the Redskins, Dr. Alex Naini pictured above to the left of F4P chairwoman Tara de Nicolas.
