The kids will have a blast in the snow but at one point you gotta come in and warm up and drink some cocoa. Then what? It’s a perfect time for them to make their valentine’s for those they want to share the love with. I’ve included some that are wasy to do. You’ll just need to grab a few things while you’re at the store before the big snow hits! For more ideas on beating cabin fever including how to paint the snow check out my segment on KLG & Hoda.

It’s something I try to do in my everyday life… when I can take a moment to put down my iPhone or stop whatever I’m doing to sit back, live in the present and really appreciate all the good stuff around me.
I know Valentine’s is a big commercial holiday.. but I still love it. I have great memories of my parents surprising us with yummy treats on Valentine’s morning. It’s something I hope to share with my daughter as she gets older.
Special thanks to Aunt Tricia for sending this adorable outfit!
Cupid’s arrow reached the hearts of children in need, as over 600 Washingtonians stripped down for Cupid’s Undie Run 2011. This year’s race raised over $50,000 for The Children’s Tumor Foundation – the world’s largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF). In the spirit of Valentine’s day and amidst the chilly weather, runners put on their flashiest, funniest, sexiest and most stylish undies and took off for a 1.1 mile run from Pennsylvania Ave. to the historic U.S. Capitol Building and back. The post-race party was held at the Pour House Restaurant & Bar, where runners enjoyed giveaways, prizes for outstanding costumes and top fundraisers, and some adult beverages and munchies.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Circe of Alexandria hosted a complimentary dating advice event – ‘Find A Love Match’ – for it’s loyal clientele. Krista White, director of ‘It’s Just Lunch’ Dating Service DC visited the salon to give private 15-minute one-on-one love advice sessions. Several guests who participated received a gift certificate for $200 towards an ‘It’s Just Lunch’ membership and took home a copy of It’s Just Lunch: Guide to Dating in Washington, DC. Salon -goers enjoyed sweet treats while love chatting in the pink and red atmosphere of the salon.
“Our team gets inundated with so many stories of dating issues, bad break-ups, and heart breaks. We thought it would be fun to bring in a dating expert.” – Ellen Vlasak, owner of Circe
In true Circe style, Krista was treated to a makeover before the event – a designer haircut by Heather Jones and make-up by Atiya Chaudhary.
