Why Disney on Ice is Skate Great!

I had a night of fabulous flashbacks. I remember going to Disney on Ice as a kid when I lived in Texas. Unexpectedly I had the feelings of excitement come back when I took Adora this week. It was really weird. I found myself watching the show (which was beautiful by the way) and getting lost in song. Once again I remember what it was like when I would listen to “When you wish upon a star” and the daydreaming would set in. I haven’t felt that way in a long time. So while this was a night for Adora see her favorite friends and princesses… I found it was also one that had me traveling back in time. It was real fun to see the magic working all over again. My favorite part was the It’s a Small World act and Pinocchio. The show captivated Adora and her best friend Reese. It kept their attention even under a sugar high of cotton candy! The show runs through Monday February 17th.. you can get tickets here. Watch a sneak peak of what you’ll see here.

Madhatter Party with Mickey!

We popped by for a little tea party to welcome Mickey and Minnie to town for their new show Disney on Ice Treasure Trove! We got to mingle with the famous duo right before they hit the ice. The show is running now through Monday at the Verizon Center. Expect to see many familiar characters including Alice, Peter Pan and and of course all of the main Disney stars including Donald and Pluto!

Had to get some flair!

The after party.. hittin’ up Haagen Dazs!

Too hot outside.. go here

We’re all complaining about the crazy hot temperatures.. but have we forgotten all the fun stuff we can do inside?
I recently went to see The Addams Family at the Kennedy Center. The AC was great, my seats were awesome and the musical was hilarious. My 8 months pregnant sister even had a blast and managed to stay cool despite being “thermal maternal!”

ICYMI I recently learned how to train a baby dragon too.  See the video below. This Thursday through Sunday How to Train a Dragon comes to life at the Verizon Center.

The show features 27 bigger than life dragons that fly and blow fire!

Photos: Wizards Girls Try-Outs

Chances are the hotness inside the Verizon Center rivaled the record temps outside recently at the Wizards Cheerleaders try-outs. This was just the 1st round. Check out the full gallery here

Redskins, Rak Daddy Bowl.. Still No Haynesworth

One of the reasons I don’t like to bowl is the shoes. I have a size 10 and I find bowling shoes even more unflattering than a pair of chucks on them things. But I sucked it up,¬† put the sweaty kicks on and joined my girlfriend Dr. Alex Naini for a night where Redskins players reach out. Lorenzo Alexander hosted the 2nd Annual Celebrity Bowling fundraiser for his Aces Foundation. The group helps youth in our area become standout member and leaders in our community.

I was on Brian Orakpo’s team… who rightfully bowled by the name ‘Rak Daddy.’ He was very good too. Getting many strikes. I too knocked em all down, but only once. In the end I don’t think anyone knows who won but it didn’t matter… it was all about the money raised that’s going to the kids.

Redskins Talk: On a side note I asked Lorenzo what he thought about Donovan McNabb. He said he’s very excited about what the team’s gonna do this season with the veteran QB on the team. He said they hated to see Jason go also. I asked if he’s seen Albert Haynesworth and he chuckled and said he’s been working out and getting in shape on his own for the season.
