DC’s New High Society Sorority?

I say sorority because when it comes to women who value fashion, fun and filling the dire holes in our community it takes me back to my college days as an AOII. But winning Greek week, beer pong olympics or taking $299 all inclusive spring break trips to the Bahamas aren’t part of these girls’ agenda.
They call themselves ”The Audrey Bouviers“. Named after hollywood royalty Audrey Hepburn and fashion icon Jackie O (maiden name was Bouvier) this new group of women is all about 
style, sophistication and serving the community.
Founder Sanam Toossi tells OMG this select group of professional women will commit to 4 big community projects a year that include everything from gardening to serving food. If you’ve got the grace it takes and the heart to give… vist theaudreybouviers.org for more information.

Oh Snap! And the Oscar goes to…

It’s the only Academy sanctioned viewing party in DC. Oscar Night DC 2010 the third year was more glamorous than ever. You felt amongst stars at the Oscar fitting National Museum of Women in the Arts. My friends fell in love with the champagne glasses lined with honey topped with a fresh sprig of lavender. My guess is that the gorge gowns made for more people watching then Oscar viewing. Sandra, Monique, K. Bigelow and more… a little acceptance speech for you. We thank you giving us a reason to get decked out, wear uncomfortable kicks, eat fine food and party on a Sunday night. The events proceeds is one of the biggest fundraisers for our area’s Red Cross.

Oh Snap! Dinner is SERVED, Coffee Needed
Thursday, January 28th, 2010Thanks Tom Block for inviting me to volunteer with Miriam’s Kitchen. Miriam’s is now opening it’s door to the area’s homeless for free homecooked, healthy dinners 5 days a week. We served 130! I loved the fact that it’s like a restaurant with table seating and fresh flowers! The kitchen which serves free breakfast & lunch too really needs coffee & cereal.

CBS references Gawker.com’s new report that says the former presidential candidate starred in his own tape in “several sex acts” with mistress Rielle Hunter.
