Morning show shower

It was more like a lunch.. but that’s how us at News4 Today like to celebrate special moments. It was very sweet to have my dear friend Eun organize a little get together to toast baby Bob. The crew met up at Cactus Cantina for some guac, chips, fajitas and fun. We even had a couple of Bob’s future “boys” drop in. Thank you to everyone for all the support.. I’m gonna miss you guys while on maternity leave. I’d like to say I’m not gonna miss the hours I’ll likely still be up during those ungodly hours on feeding duty!

Facebook: Your stalker list

Imagine the horror: A list of all the people you stalk on facebook revealed. If it happened would you be embarrassed? It wouldn’t be so bad to know as long as no one else can see it. Well now you can.

According to TheKeesh.com you can drag the Facebook Friends link to your browser’s bookmark bar. Then log on to Facebook and click the bookmarklet and BAM your “most stalked” are revealed. I did this in 5 minutes.

I was gonna post my screen save of it but then I realized some of my friends may think I’m a freak considering their ranking on my list.

PS: Hurry up, who knows when Facebook discovers this capability and yanks it.

Where the beef… meets broadcast

The weather was perfect for an afternoon lunch with the news gals here in DC. This time we gathered at the new J&G Steakhouse on 15th and Pennsylvania. As we enjoyed appetizing fried calamari and rice cracker crusted tuna we laughed about being moms and the new “Go the ___ to Sleep” book that’s all the rave these days amongst parents. When it was entree’ time we were impressed to find out that the steakhouse is vegan friendly! A couple of the gals had no problem ordering. Halibut in a scallion-spicy chili sauce was a popular pick this day. I was also happy to see they have Sips & Bites from 5-7pm on weekdays where you can get smaller portions of their dishes paired with wine at the wine bar.

It was also great to chit chat with cityshopgirl turned radio host Kelly Collis who recently helped launch the new morning show on 94.7 FRESH FM. Shout out to Eun Yang for arranging the get together… really enjoyed catching up with all the girls at the table.. Anita Brikman, Lesli Foster, Elaine Reyes and Shawn Yancy!

Good Luck Lindsay!

Super nice gal pal and local sports reporting star Lindsay Czarniak is Bristol bound. We bid farewell at a going away party held at Public Bar in Tenleytown. DJ Flounder from DC101 kept the pink party going at the 3rd Annual Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer. Held at the Fairmont on M Street, the reception was hosted by more than a dozen DC newswomen.

WTOP’s Bob Madigan was an honorary host this year- helping us spread the word that men- you too can get breast cancer.The bash helps kick-off DC’s Komen Race for the Cure June 4th.
Guest speakers included Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and DC First Lady Jonice Gray Tucker. Busy baby GAGA

Adora is such a trooper. She made the rounds with a day that started with an early brunch with my AOII sisters at Clyde’s in Ashburn. The place was really neat. My friend Jen told me the entire restaurant was made out of old barnes. Then it was off to DC to The Heights for an afternoon brunch with some of my former TV co-workers. That’s where we ran into WUSA producer Jessica Glasser who just had a baby too.. little Maya! We weren’t done yet. When I arrived for my hair appointment with the fabulous James Cornwell.. he exclaimed “OMG it’s baby Gaga” – referring to my baby tucked inside her stroller. It was hilarious.
