The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation hosted the 1st Annual “Blue Crush” Summer Celebration to Crush Colon Cancer.

Held at new hot space STROGA… guest enjoyed live music and the chance to buy limited edition art by DC’s top artists.

If you haven’t had your fill of soccer just yet, come out to watch some games and support a good cause. Street Soccer USA, an organization focused on eradicating homelessness and poverty through soccer programs and community building, along with HELP USA will be holding the 2010 Street Soccer USA Cup in DC this weekend at the Washington Kastles Stadium. The SSUSA Cup will bring more than 200 players — comprised of homeless men and women from around the country — in a competition to see which team can take home the Cup title. The top 8 players will go on to represent the US at the Homeless World Cup, which will be held in Brazil next month. While the soccer matches are free, you’ll have to go online and reserve your e-tickets for the game of your choice. Stone premiered  ‘South of the Border’ a film that explores the social revolution in South America. The doc features many interviews between Stone and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. 

Following the screening, Stone attended an afterparty at Teatro Goldoni.

The party was hosted by Washington Life. We snapped the famous filmmaker with screenwriter Mark Weitrot. 

Spotted in crowd were newly weds Kristin and John Cecchi with Bisnow’s  Courtney Caldwell.
