Mommy fitness

So I’ve already gained more than 30 pounds hooray! I’ve tried to stay active during this pregnancy but it has been tough. I think fitting a workout in for most expecting moms or moms in general is always a challenge. Well I did find two great new trends that are taking off that you might want to consider. I spent a day at Mommy Bootcamp’s new Belly Barre class in Ashburn. Kathy Corbey shows us how the low intensity workout is perfect for both moms-to-be and those with kids. It really works all parts of your body and you have a great ballet barre for balance and resistance.

Then I headed over to MASE Training in Sterling. There it was great to see former Redskin turned trainer Coach Eddie Mason in action. We’ll introduce you to Marla who gained 50 pounds while pregnant. It’s been 3 months since she gave birth and she’s finding Interval Training is working to get the weight off.

***The story will air tonight, Wednesday March 13 on News4 at 4pm***

Reminder that our NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo is this weekend. We’ll all be there. In fact I’m moderating an expert panel called “How to Lose and Keep it Off”. Here’s the deets and remember everything is FREE!
